- Warranty Coverage
Paint DefenZ Paint Protection Film (“PPF”) is warranted against manufacturing defects including:
Yellowing caused by material failure
Cracking
Delamination
Bubbling caused by film defects
Loss of adhesion due to manufacturing defects
Manufacturing defects affecting film performance
If any covered defect occurs during the warranty period, Paint DefenZ will repair or replace the defective film at its discretion.
- Warranty Period
Warranty starts from the original installation date.
Product Warranty
Paint DefenZ Prime 8 Years
Paint DefenZ Apex 10 Years
Paint DefenZ Stealth As specified on warranty certificate
Paint DefenZ Flare As specified on warranty certificate
Warranty is valid only with proof of purchase and a registered warranty certificate.
- Warranty Eligibility
Warranty is valid only when:
Installed by an authorized Paint DefenZ Certified Installer.
Original invoice is available.
Warranty registration is completed.
Vehicle maintenance follows Paint DefenZ recommendations.
- What Is Covered
The warranty covers defects resulting from manufacturing issues including:
Excessive yellowing
Film cracking
Adhesive failure
Delamination
Manufacturing-related bubbling
Material failure under normal use
- What Is NOT Covered
This warranty does not cover:
Accident damage
Stone chips penetrating the film
Collision damage
Vandalism
Fire or flood damage
Chemical spills
Bird droppings left untreated
Tree sap left untreated
Acid rain damage
Rust formation
Paint defects existing before installation
Improper washing methods
Abrasive polishing compounds
Pressure washing directly on film edges
Intentional damage
Wear from racing or commercial use
Normal wear and tear
- Self-Healing Disclaimer
Self-healing technology is designed to minimize light surface swirl marks under heat exposure.
It does not repair:
Deep scratches
Cuts
Tears
Stone impact damage
Punctures
Self-healing performance may reduce over time depending on environmental exposure and maintenance.
- Maintenance Requirements
To maintain warranty validity:
Wait at least 7 days after installation before washing.
Hand wash using pH-neutral automotive shampoo.
Avoid harsh chemicals or petroleum-based cleaners.
Avoid abrasive polishing compounds.
Remove bird droppings, bug residue, and tree sap promptly.
Avoid directing high-pressure water at film edges from close range.
- Warranty Claim Process
To initiate a warranty claim, the customer must provide:
Original invoice
Warranty registration number
Vehicle registration details
Clear photographs of the issue
Inspection by an authorized Paint DefenZ representative or certified installer
Paint DefenZ reserves the right to inspect the vehicle before approving any claim.
- Remedy
If a claim is approved, Paint DefenZ may:
Repair the affected area,
Replace the defective film, or
Provide an equivalent replacement product.
Warranty covers film replacement only.
Costs including but not limited to:
Vehicle transportation
Loss of vehicle use
Hotel expenses
Rental vehicles
Business losses
Consequential damages
are specifically excluded.
- Transferability
This warranty is valid only for the original vehicle and original purchaser unless Paint DefenZ approves a transfer in writing.
- Limitation of Liability
Paint DefenZ’s maximum liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the installed Paint Protection Film.
Paint DefenZ shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the product.
- Installer Responsibility
Installation quality is the responsibility of the authorized installer.
Minor installation characteristics such as:
Slight edge visibility
Relief cuts
Seam placement
Minor dust particles within industry standards
are considered normal and are not manufacturing defects.
- Warranty Void Conditions
Warranty becomes void if:
Installed by a non-authorized installer
Film is removed or altered
Vehicle is repainted without removing the film
Unauthorized repairs are performed
Improper maintenance causes damage
Commercial misuse or racing applications cause failure
